100% Recyclable
Recyclable In Closed Loop Systems
Central Extrusions produce their mouldings and extrusions from Dryflex Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE). A plastic that displays the same properties as synthetic rubber.
TPE properties are:
- Versatile
- Flexible
- Easy to process
- Recyclable
- Safe
- High Performance & durable
- Can be Flame Retardant, chemical resistant
- Coloured or transparent
Due to their efficient processing, high performance and recyclability, Dryflex TPE compounds have proved themselves as a quality replacement for vulcanised rubber in window and door sealing applications. Colour and co-extrusion have further enhanced the design possibilities. Central Extrusions can provide custom formulated materials which are profiled to the design, performance and environmental needs of the future. Due to the thermoplastic nature of TPE compounds, it can be reprocessed without any reduction in performance of the finished product. Central Extrusions reprocess all waste product in house therefore there is zero manufactured waste all processed with the minimum carbon foot print.
Recently Central Extrusions has invested in environmental accreditations to ensure sustainability is an integral part of the manufacturing process and the working procedures within the environment. Central Extrusions is ISO 14001 accredited, which covers the implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS), placing focus on an organisation’s impact on the external environment. With the standard aims to reduce an organisation’s waste, pollution, and energy consumption. Additionally, the company is ISO 45001 accredited, which focuses on the management of an organisation’s internal environment. Central Extrusion’s aim is to continuously invest in sustainable practices in order to prevent the depletion of our natural and physical resources, protecting the environment for the future.
